IT’S A DOG’S LIFE
For over 12.000 years, dogs have lived with people and helped us in our daily lives. In Ancient Egypt, the Pharaohs built statues of dogs and thought they were like gods.
Today there are about 400 types of dog of different sizes and shapes. Dogs have the same five senses as people, but their sense of smell is very helpful to the police, bombs and dangerous gases.
When a dog starts barking, it’s often because they’ve heard something. A dog’s sense of hearing is very good and they can hear things that humans can’t. Dogs can also help blind people and become their ‘eyes’. They can lead a blind person to the shops, onto buses, or just help them to live a normal life.
For many people, dogs are just good company and make perfect family pets. They can be friendly animals, but are usually expensive to keep and you must have the time to take them for walks. If you look after your dog, it can be a really good friend!

    Preliminary Activities

Search for information in spanish through any mean about Coronavirus disease, so that you can be updated and prepared to handle this topic in English.

     1-2 Find the meaning of the unknown terms by using a dictionary.
     1-3 Organize the unknown terms alphabetically and try to translate them from  
           Spanish to English and viceversa.

You must have the list with all the  answers, according to the numbers for each question. The numbers are from 1 to 15, 26 to 30, and 31 to 50. The platform will be available from today to this Monday 18. Please, don´t start till you have the complete list of the answers with their corresponding pairs of numbers and words. After you have started, the system  gives you  30 minutes to complete the list. To match numbers and words, you have to press the number and then press its corresponding word. At the time you have completed a group of pairs, press OK and continue with the next one.

Dear students.
Due to there are different English teachers for eleventh grade, it is necessary to rearrange the guides they had done,  in order to get a unique one.    and   interpret a current topic.

     Specific objectives:

4-  Organize the unknown terms alphabetically and try to learn them from Spanish to English and vice versa.

    Development Activities

1-   Make a two columns table and label one column as English and the other one as  Spanish.
2-  Write each of the readings on the left and try to translate them just using the  meaning of   
      the unknown words.
3-    Now make another column table like the one you did before but, in this opportunity,  label the left column as Spanish and the other one as English.
4-   Without looking at your previous notes, translate the reading written in Spanish to  English. Insist one and another time...  insist as many times as necessary. Remind that practice makes the master.
